A scuffle broke out between Mian Javed Latif of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Murad Saeed of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday in the Parliament's lobby. Earlier, while speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, Mian Javed Latif described the chairman PTI as a 'traitor' for his remarks that he had made against the foreign players who had visited Lahore for the Pakistan Super League final last week.
He said, "There is a need to train the PTI lawmakers and its leadership. Khan is not showing tolerance and he should give up his madness." He asked: "When a party leader uses such language against foreign players, what else can we expect from his workers?" The scuffle broke out between Saeed and Latif as both lawmakers were exiting from the assembly building following the National Assembly session, during which there was a heated exchange of words.
After the Assembly session ended, the PTI lawmaker approached Latif in the Parliament lobby and warned him against using abusive language against his party chief. The other lawmakers leaving the Parliament building interfered and tried to cool down both the members.
While commenting on the matter, Saeed claimed that the PML-N parliamentarians had also used derogatory and foul language against his party leadership. "When I protested it, the PML-N lawmakers told me that they had dubbed my leader, and not me, as a traitor," Saeed added. Addressing a press conference following the scuffle, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhary said that the PTI's approach to politics is not characterised by mannerism".
