This is apropos aBusiness Recorder news item "NAP: PM concerned at slow pace of implementation" carried by the newspaper yesterday. According to it, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over progress made by Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies against the miscreants and directed to further expedite the pace of implementation on National Action Plan (NAP). He decided to further energize efforts on implementation of NAP and ensure better implementation of NAP by federal and provincial governments.
That there is a growing perceptional mismatch between federal and provincial governments and between military and civilian authorities insofar as the implementation of NAP is concerned is a strong reality. Why did the federal government show complacency in this regard? There must be no complacency anymore. The gains made so far must not be allowed to be squandered at any cost.
