The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday declared appointment of Fatima Sheikh as director general of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) as illegal and directed the Punjab government to fill the posts within 15 days.
The court issued this order in a petition of a bar member Sheraz Zaka.
The court expressed its displeasure on a adhoc post for four years and observed there is no concept of ad-hoc or acting charge appointment in the law.
