Sibi once again gave a repetitive disappointing performance against Kharan that won the one-sided match with a lead of 7 goals on the fourth day of the final round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017. In the second competitive match, Panjgur defeated Lasbela with one goal.
Sibi escorting in navy blue scored the sole goal, claimed by Arif Ali from the right wing in the 25th minute of the first half. However, Kharan wearing white dominated the game right from the beginning and kept scoring goals one after another. Score was 1-8. Kharan's Hakmat with a hat-trick was declared the Man of the Match. In another match, Panjgur in yellow, put in an impressive performance to beat Lasbela in green, while the latter struggled to give a close fight but in vain. The match resulted in 1-0. The only goal of the match by Panjgur was scored in the 13th minute of the first half by Meer Gul, who also won the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
Both the matches were held at Yazdan Khan High School Ground, Quetta. A total of 19 matches will be played in the final round including the semi-finals on March 31 and final on April 2 in Quetta. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is hosting the second edition of the football tournament in line with its commitment to the people of Balochistan. Till to date, the tournament has identified more than 50 stars with outstanding performances, who can be groomed to become future national level players.-PR
