The Lahore High Court has been told that the National Action Plan (NAP) is being fully implemented in Punjab. This was revealed in a report of Interior Ministry in a petition of civil Society Network through its president Abdullah Malik questing flaws in implementation of the NAP. The report said deployment of Rangers personnel in the province for 2-month period is under the continuation.
The court adjourned the proceedings to April 19 and directed the petitioner's counsel to come up with his counter arguments. The petitioner had contended that the PML-N led Punjab government did not formulate any effective mechanism against terrorist activities. He stated that it was inevitable to say that the incumbent federal and Punjab governments totally failed to provide a secure environment.
