Quetta City puts in a strong methodical performance to beat Lasbela, while Panjgur's side closed the match on Turbat with a 5-1 win in the first two quarter finals of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017. Quetta City versus Lasbela resulted in 2-1 with a victory for Quetta City in green that qualified for the semi-finals.
Skipper Qayyum of the winning team made good technical exchanges and assisted Muhammad Mehdi, who scored one goal for his side in the 39th minute in the first half while Qayyum made the first goal in the 26th minute. Wearing white, Lasbela's solitary goal was made by Inayatullah in the 74th minute. Mehdi from Quetta City was awarded the Man of the Match for his striking moves.
Second quarter final between Panjgur in yellow and Turbat in brown saw a fighting game, wherein, Panjgur availed all moves and scored 5 goals against Turbat, who could score only 1 goal in the 74th minute of the second half making the results as 5-1. Panjgur's Meer Gul was declared Man of the Match for his excellent performance and a hat-trick against the opponents. Gul received the award from the chief guest, Coordinator Chief Minister's Complaint Cell, Allauddin Kakar. Next quarter finals will be played between Quetta DFA versus Kharan and Chaman versus Nushki. The two semi-finals will be played on March 31 and final on April 2 at Ayub Stadium, Quetta.-PR
