Indus consortium in collaboration with SGAFP/USAID celebrated World Water Day organised at Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam under the theme 2017 "Waste Water" on March 30 2017. Fayaz Ali Abassi, Project Manager Indus Consortium Badin Unit, hosted the program.
Addressing the participants, Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director UA&FA, highlighted the water losses and water policies and also explained about the Sustainable Development Goals till 2030. He added that 75pc of population is deprived of clean and safe drinking water.
Iqbal Hyder Sahib, Executive Director, Indus Consortium, said that "Where there is a Water There is a Life", adding, "We must take precautionary measures to save water and recycled water for usage".
Nasir Panhwar, Executive Director, Centre for Environment & Development and Ghulam Mustafa Ujjan, Chairman LHDP also spoke on the occasion.
