Middle-man won't be allowed to exploit farmers: Shahbaz

Different suggestions regarding procurement campaign for wheat purchase year 2017-18 were reviewed in a high-level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Thursday.While addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that by God's grace we have best wheat crop this year and Pakistan Muslim League-N government will not only take care of the interests of cultivators like before but will also ensure protection for the rights of small cultivators. He said that middle-man won't be allowed to exploit farmers and it will be guaranteed that specified profit of Wheat crop be provided to them at all costs.
Seeds will be distributed amongst cultivators under default policy and this distribution process will be carried out at pure merit and transparent basis, he added and directed to provide all necessary facilities to the growers of wheat procurement centres. CM said that complaint cells will be established at Division, District and Tehsils level and he himself will monitor the wheat procurement campaign.
