The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that peace has been restored in FATA at the cost of the unprecedented sacrifices offered by patriotic tribesmen and the civilian administrative machinery besides the security forces.
Moreover, he added, the FATA Reforms commission was tasked to revisiting and defining the state-citizen relationships, identifying key areas for reforms and opting for institutional development and good governance which has already submitted its report.
The incumbent government, the Governor said, is taking effective steps in order to mainstreaming FATA and enabling the tribal people to contribute their role at par with the citizens of other parts of the country.
He expressed these views while addressing visiting participants of the ongoing staff course of Army staff College Quetta at Governor's House, Peshawar on Tuesday. Beside others, the Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Mr. Fida Wazir and Principle Secretary to Governor, Sikander Qayyum were also present on the occasion.
While responding to various questions of the participants, the Governor highlighted the importance of CPEC and said that it would prove to be a game changer for entire South Asia. Indeed, he said, the CPEC will augment us both socially and economically in particular.
