On Tuesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,029. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.42 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,462. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 907.55 million, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 866.12 million, WTI crude oil PKR 495.64 million, silver PKR 117.25 million, copper PKR 37.20 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.897 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 10 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 3.94 million was also traded.
