The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has made all arrangement to hold its 14th flagship international event "My Karachi, Oasis of Harmony" at the Expo Centre. Exhibition 2017 will be held from April 7 to 9, and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah will inaugurate the exhibition on Friday, April 7. The purpose of holding this exhibition was to introduce and popularize the "Made in Pakistan" brand and negate the negative propaganda against Pakistan and show the world that this is a dynamic country.
The vision of "My Karachi Oasis of Harmony" is to rebuild the image of Karachi and to give positive signals to foreign entrepreneurs that individual and commercial activities are going on smoothly in Pakistan, particularly in Karachi, In parallel they could ensure that corporate entities meet and strengthen relations with foreign counterparts, and that the image and prestige of Pakistan and Karachi is enhanced and projected.
My Karachi Exhibition is a showcase platform for domestic and global products and services to small traders, large industries, manufacturers, service providers, multinational companies, financial institutions and the social welfare agencies of Pakistan.
In 2004, the chairman of the Businessmen Group and former president of the KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, came up with the brilliant idea of organizing the My Karachi Exhibition to promote the positive image of Karachi and counter all the negative propaganda by the western media. With the passage of time, My Karachi has become a well-known brand name and an icon of success for the KCCI, which depicts the determination, courage and entrepreneurial zeal of the people of Karachi.
