Co-chairman of Pakistan People's Party Asif Ali Zardari urged the estranged Baloch leaders to adopt parliamentary politics to secure their coast and resources instead of going to mountains to fight. "I advise misled friends to come back. Who has suffered loss by going to mountains? It is we who suffered," he said speaking at the 50th anniversary of Jafar Khan Jamali in Kashmir Kot of Jafarabad on Friday where Chief of Jamali tribe Sardar Haroon Khan Jamali wore Zardari a traditional turban.
PPP's co-chairman said services of Jafar Khan Jamali would also be remembered. Zardari lamented that once upon a time, there were examples of bravery of Marri and Bugti tribes but they are now leading miserable life. He said those who went to mountains lost brothers, nephews, uncles.
However, he also alerted the powers that be that if injustices are done to Baloch during ongoing census in Balochistan then elderly people too would go to mountains along with their youth. He said Balochistan is a golden sparrow and it would be secured with the help of real representatives. He said he strengthened democratic system through 18th Amendment and by becoming President of Pakistan instead of Prime Minister. "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring prosperity to Balochistan and entire country.
If selective projects are accorded importance for self-gains instead of working sincerely in the larger interest of Pakistan, then, nothing will be achieved form CPEC," he said, adding that Pakistan's water requirements would also be met through CPEC. He aid India threatens to stop water. We would obtain water form Central Asia. Former Federal Minister Changez Jamali, Sardar Haroon Jamali, president of PPP Balochistan Ali Madad Jattak, Speaker Sindh Agha Siraj Durrani, former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MNA Ejaz Ali Jakhrani, former Balochistan Minister and former president PPP Balochistan Sadiq Umrani, Sahibzada Khalid Sultan, Saleem Khosa, political and tribal people form Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab attended the ceremony.
