ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly of Pakistan on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution to condemn Indian occupation and atrocities in Kashmir and urged the international community to expedite formation of the Commission of Inquiry to investigate the gross human rights violations there.

The resolution was tabled by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Khan which was unanimously adopted by the House.

In connection with commemorating the Black Day of Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir on October 27, 1947, the House condemned the unabated state terrorism by the Indian forces and blatant violation of international laws in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

It strongly condemned the killing of more than 90,000 innocent Kashmiris (who are martyred)) in Indian Occupied Kashmir by Indian occupying forces. The House rejected the conduction of sham elections in Indian Occupied Kashmir by the Indian government, the failure of which speaks volumes about the alienation of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir from the illegal Indian rule.

The House urged the international community for the expedited formation of the Commission of Inquiry to investigate the gross human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir, as recommended by the office of High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The House reaffirmed its solidarity and commitment to the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir in their just struggle for their rights to self-determination and reiterated its continuing political, moral and diplomatic support for this just struggle in line with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
