Chicago Board of Trade corn futures closed lower on Tuesday, impacted by lower soy prices. The market was still seen as overbought following sharp gains last week. Declines were limited by a slow start to planting in US Midwest.
The US Department of Agriculture said farmers had seeded 6 percent of their intended corn acreage as of April 16, below market forecasts.
