Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan said here on Saturday that PPP-Parliamentarians president Asif Ali Zardari will be his next target, Aaj News reported. "Zardari, now I am after you," he said while speaking at a public meeting in district Dadu where PTI showed political strength after former Sindh chief minister and a PML-N stalwart, Liaquat Jatoi, joined his party. Imran welcomed Jatoi to PTI as the latter formally announced his joining.
PTI chairman also lashed out at the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, citing the dissent notes of two judges of the Supreme Court in which they clearly ruled against him by stating that he (Sharif) was not sadiq and ameen and three judges called for an investigation against him. He accused Zardari and Sharif of rigging and corruption in Sindh and Punjab, respectively. He said that there was a general impression among people that Zardari was a `dacoit' and he never tried to brush aside that impression.
He said people of Sindh not only faced shortage of drinking water but are also unaware of corruption of the bigwigs. He said that a small class was plundering the public wealth. PTI chief said that Nawaz has lost his status morally after the Supreme Court's verdict in the Panama Papers case. He said that a culprit (of corruption) cannot be the prime minister of Pakistan. He said he had staged a protest demonstration outside the London flats of Nawaz Sharif and now it is proved that the flats belong to Nawaz Sharif. He said that there were palaces of Zardari all over the world.
Khan said corruption has destroyed the nation. He said that the country's hospitals and educational institutions have been destroyed because of corruption. He said high-profile people feel free to leave abroad after mega corruption in the country. He alleged that Dr Asim is involved corruption cases amounting to Rs 460 billion. Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other leaders of the PTI also spoke.
