Opposition was not being granted permission to present resolution for disqualification of prime minister in the assembly here on Tuesday agitated in Punjab Assembly 28th session. Opposition while raising slogans against prime minister threw copies of agenda in the house. Treasury members responding to opposition outbursts also raised slogans against opposition. Opposition leader Mahmud-ur-Rashid stated that they would continue with agitation in the assembly.
In the assembly a bill 'The Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2017' was forwarded to the parliamentary committee. Few bills were rejected and kept in pending on the occasion. A resolution asking for provision of incinerators to all district headquarter hospitals in the province was passed on the occasion, Another resolution presented by legislator Iram Hassan and passed in the session demanded that those policemen that were killed on line of duty be called martyrs (Shaheed).
Parliamentary Secretary Department of Revenue & Colonies (Board of Revenue) answering queries on the department in the session stated that at present there were 1455 stamp vendors in district Lahore. He said that licence of these vendors need to be renewed per year. He said no such licence has been issued in Lahore in last five years. Parliamentary Secretary to a question dilated that project of computerisation of land record commenced in year 2007 with collaboration of the World Bank. The project that commenced from 18 districts of the province has been extended to 36 districts of Punjab, he added. The house was later adjourned by the chair.
