The Federal Minister for Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi will inaugurate Hyderabad Light Engineering Support Centre on April 28 (Friday). Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) has established the centre at a cost of Rs 250 million that was sponsored by Asian Development Bank, TUESDEC chief executive officer Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry told Business Recorder here Tuesday.
He said the light engineering support centre having most modern imported machinery from Taiwan and China will act as a common facility centre for providing support to the engineering industry of Sindh with modern design, training, technical assistance and consultancy facilities in high precision manufacturing.
The centre will enhance the skills of craftsmen on contemporary machinery and will equip them with latest manufacturing techniques. TUSDEC chief executive officer said the centre will facilitate as many as 650 industrial units located in Hyderabad Small Industrial Estate.
