Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that opponents of public welfare projects are opposing country's development and prosperity. He was addressing the 4th Phase of Laptop Distribution on Thursday. He announced that PM will inaugurate 1320MW Coal Power Project in Sahiwal next month.
"We have provided all-out resources to empower our youth and has distributed three lakh 10 thousand laptops while one lakh 15 thousand to be distributed now among talented students in the 4th phase," chief minister said.He said students of Punjab are not beneficiaries of this scheme but children from all units of Pakistan will cherish though it.
He also said that when he initiated this scheme back in 2011, his political opponents tried to malign it by blaming that he was trying to purchase their votes but our good intentions prevailed as we think that laptops look much better in the hands of youth rather than guns as guns bring extremism in country whereas laptops by introducing technology friendly environment makes country move further on the road of prosperity.
He said that attendance of teacher and students are ensured in Punjab by providing them with 50,000 Tablets.
He said that people who are indulged in power-politics are against the projects of public projects like Orange Line Train and Metro Bus because they don't want general masses to enjoy comfortable and economic transport facilities. Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) paid tribute to CM Shehbaz Shairf for taking revolutionary steps in the field of education.
