Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures ended lower on Friday on technical selling and spillover weakness from corn as forecasts called for drier US planting weather to follow heavy weekend rains, traders said. The CBOT July soyabean contract settled down 1 cent at $9.56-1/4 per bushel. CBOT July soyameal closed up $1.00 at $315.80 per short ton while CBOT July soyaoil ended down 0.25 cent at 31.71 cents per lb.
