He said due to sincere and committed efforts of PML-N government the destiny of the nation and country is about to change and load-shedding will end with the completion of energy projects by the start of 2018.
He said all development projects launched by the PML-N government are great example of transparency and the speed; the transparency with which all mega projects are being completed is unprecedented in 70 years history of Pakistan and even no opponent can point the accusatory finger at the transparency of PML-N government projects. He said PM Nawaz Sharif has transparently spent national resources on the development, progress and prosperity of the country while the rulers in the past set examples of corruption. He said people of Pakistan know very well that allegations of the defeated elements are pack of lies.
Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif said those who talk big about corruption are in the company of those who got loans worth of billions of rupees written off and illegally occupied lands in nearby areas of Lahore. He said those who got loans written off and grabbed lands have no moral justification for hue and cry over corruption. He said those who had tried to hinder the development process by locking down Islamabad have already been defeated and these elements have failed in their nefarious designs to stop the prosperity of the common man and the development process of the country.
The Chief Minister expressed these views while talking to the newly elected representatives of the PML-N. The chief minister said the energy crisis will end soon under leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif with the completion of on-going energy projects. He said once energy crisis are over, there will be an uninterrupted supply of electricity to industry, educational institutions, hospitals, businesses and trade; all the roads and streets of the country will equally be lit and the agriculture of the country will progress too. He said economy is being strengthened due to the policies of the PML-N government and employment opportunities are created in large numbers while defeated mind set is frightened of the speedy process of development. He said three gas based energy projects of 3600MW are about to be completed in the record period of 27 months and will start producing electricity very soon while the Bhikki power project is producing 717MW in 18 months time.
He said the PML-N government through competitive tenders saved Rs 112 billion by ensuring transparency in energy projects, adding gas based energy projects is producing cheap electricity.
