New pipelines being installed to provide uninterrupted gas supply
BAHAWALPUR: Regional Manager Sui Northern Gas Pipeline, Malik Bashir Ahmad has said that steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas in the city.
According to Malik Bashir, the new gas pipeline of 49 kilometers long and 16-inch diameter would replace 11-inch diameter pipeline from Khairpur Daha to Bahawalpur which would help in smooth transmission of gas supply.
He said that with the installation of new pipeline, complaints related to low pressure or load shedding of gas during winter seasons would be overcome.
He informed that 8-inch diameter pipeline is being replaced with 14-inch diameter pipeline from Bhatta No 1 to Lari Adda via Model Town B and Model Town C with a cost of Rs 80 million.
The new pipelines are being installed throughout the city due to which line losses would be mitigated and gas would be supplied with full pressure, he maintained.
