The Kennel Club of Punjab, Pakistan (KCPP) has been established for the promotion of all breed of Dogs in Punjab Region. In this regard the first priority of KCPP is to ensure their proper health and environment said Engr Ihtasham Javed Khan, president KCPP during the first Board meeting held at Dynasty.
He further said that initially all the dogs will be registered with KCPP. In this regard the registered Offices of KCPP have been established at Faisalabad and Lahore. He appreciated the Board of Directors came all along from Lahore for participation in the said meeting.
Abid Masood, founder Chairman KCPP briefed that KCPP is a registered and licensed Kennel Club, formed under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984. He told that as per analysis, every fourth house is keeping pets but unfortunately they are not maintaining their proper health. In this regard, awareness session will be organised under the umbrella of KCPP. Moreover, dogs show would be arranged in the main cities of Punjab.
The youth in Faisalabad through their respective schools will be approached for the awareness sessions. The executive committee member, Associate Professor University of Agriculture, Dr Ashar Mahfooz highlighted the health safety measures and assured his services for the pets' health and emphasized for the proper vaccination of the pets to avoid viral and bacterial diseases. He further said that the registered pets will be micro chipped and DNA tests will be conducted on nominal prices. Later on Imran Zia Senior Advisor, KCPP briefed the house regarding the pets training and objective of KCPP through multimedia presentation.
