KP Governor, Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra is on a two-day visit to Indonesia for participation in Bonn Challenge Asia Regional High Level Roundtable Conference 2017. During the two-day event, an exhibition was also arranged by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Indonesia.
KP Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and high level officials from various Asian countries attended the Round Table conference. This Roundtable conference seeks to raise the ambition for forest landscape restoration in Asia, as a key approach for enhancing the well-being of both people and nature, also challenges faced during implementation and ways forward for solution were shared.
Moreover, strategies and approaches for unlocking the financial resources required for restoration also came under discussion. The conference was arranged by South Sumatra, Indonesia in collaboration with IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature).
