Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah paid a surprise visit to Jinnah Hospital Lahore on Friday and upon absence of Senior Woman Medical Officer Dr Yasmin Cheema and WMO Dr Saira Nawaz, suspended both of them.
Secretary reviewed arrangements for medical care and cleanliness in emergency ward, Peads emergency, pathological lab, almoner office, sitting arrangements for the patients in OPD. He also inspected cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the washrooms. He appreciated the Medical Superintendent Dr Sohail Saqlain and his whole team for best arrangements for patient care and cleanliness in the hospital.
Najam Ahmed Shah said, "amazing difference, great job done, it's a long journey but good start in right direction by Jinnah hospital team and with support of field coordinators." He also inquired about the health facilities and provision of free medicines from the patients. The patients expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements.
