Achieving yet another milestone in an effort to harness the potential of Thari human resource, Engro Powergen Thar Limited (EPTL) has signed an agreement with Pakistan Chemical & Energy Sector Skills Development Company (PCESSDC) to sponsor a 3-year program of associate engineering course for young students from District Tharparkar.
Under the program, a batch of 30 young Thari students will be able to undertake a comprehensive 03-year program of Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) at the Technical Training College Daharki (TTC) and will be registered with the Sindh Board of Technical Education.
The signing ceremony held here on Friday in which Ahsan Zafar Syed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) EPTL and Brigadier (R) Raja Muhammad Ali, CEO, PCESSDC signed the agreement. Speaking at the occasion Ahsan Zafar Syed of EPTL said, "The agreement is part of the Engro's overarching vision of empowering Thari people to get directly involved in the projects revolving around the Thar Coal, especially at Block II."-PR
