The security forces on Friday gunned down at least two terrorists and arrested eight others during a raid in Dera Bugti. As per details, the Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies carried out a joint raid in Dera Bugti's Chabdar area. During the operation, an exchange of fire erupted between the extremists and security which left at least two extremists dead while eight others were arrested.
Sources privy to the security forces said that as many as three camps of the extremists were also destroyed in the operation. Weapons and explosive material were also recovered from the terrorists. Sources said that the arrested terrorists were shifted to unknown location for further interrogation. It is worth mentioning that at least 12 ferraris including an important commander of banned outfit Jamal Khan laid down arms in front of tribal elder Haji Khan Muhammad Masuri and intelligence agencies in Sui area of Dera Bugti on Thursday.
After laying down arms, the ferraris took oath that they will play a vital role in serving the country and will not become part of any terrorist activities in the future. Those who surrendered were involved in cases of blowing gas pipelines and attacks on security forces.
