A two-day 1st Young Researchers National Conference on Water and Environment (NCWE) organized by the students of US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) will be held on May 22 and 23, at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro.
Professor Dr Mohammad Aslam Uqaili, Vice Chancellor MUET who is the chief patron of the conference will be the chief guest in the conference and Jeffrey L Ullman, the guest of the honor form University of Utah USA will chair the first plenary session. The keynote speaker of the conference Arif Hassan Khan, the architect and urban planner will deliver talk on the Urbanization Trend and Environmental Issues in Karachi, another speaker Nadeem Ahmad, Manager Policy and Advocacy in WaterAid will speak on SDGs and Water: Thematic Integration, Implementation and Monitoring of SDG-6.
The inaugural session of the conference will be held in the main auditorium of the University and the technical sessions will be conducted in the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) MUET Jamshoro. Dr Bakhshal Khan Lashari, Project Director USPCAS-W and patron of the conference told that the aim of the two-day conference is to provide an ideal academic platform to young researchers and scholars from all over the country to share their latest findings about the water and environment related issues.
