The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CNA (an association SMEs and Artisans in Italy) signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two organizations. The LCCI executive committee member, Khadim Hussain, and CNA Vice President Gorgio Aguzzi, signed the memorandum on behalf of their respective organizations.
It is notable that Khadim Hussain is leading a nine-member multi-sector delegation to Italy who held meetings with Italian Trade organizations ITA (Italian Trade Agency), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Confcommercio, Lazio Innova besides holding B2B meetings with the Italian entrepreneurs.
According to the chamber's sources, the CNA vice president and the LCCI executive committee members expressed their mutual desire to further intensify business contacts. Pakistani Ambassador Riyaz also spoke on the occasion and briefed about the close ties between Pakistan and Italy. There is a vast potential to enhance trade between the two countries, he said, and stressed the need for exchange of business delegations to further cement ties between the two countries.
