The Pakistan Railways may increase its role as regulator so that the process of providing travelling facilities to passengers can be made easy, fast and comprehensive. After the World War II, no investment and value addition has happened in Railways in our country, said Federal Minister for Railways Kh Saad Rafique. "But now we cannot live with this century-old system.
Pakistan Railways is not only being reinstated but it will also fulfill all the requirements necessary for this system. Either due to thousand billion rupees investment under the CPEC or due to the profit of railways, that has surpassed two times, the time has come to fulfill the dream of up-to-date Railways. The Minister was addressing a high-level meeting on the progress of running rail car between Rawalpindi and Kohat at Railway Headquarters. He said that massive changes will be made in the rail service in Sindh, especially between Mirpur Khas and Hyderabad, which will be extended to Karachi as well.
