Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Punjab government has promoted corruption free culture by completing development projects following a transparent policy throughout the province. Talking to a delegation of elected representatives of PML-N, here Saturday, Shehbaz said the government has set new records of transparency, speedy completion and quality in development projects.
He said that a new era of socio-economic development is set to commence and Pakistan is destined to become a center of trade and economic activities. He said that the opponents of prosperity of the people have conspired to stop the CPEC project, and due to the nefarious designs of these elements, delay occurred in the projects. Had these elements were sincere to the people, they would not have obstructed the projects initiated to wriggle the nation out of darkness. Had the sit-in group avoided its sit-ins, quite a number of electricity generation projects would have been completed today, he said.
Shehbaz said that Pakistan has started moving towards development and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that various energy projects are near completion while many more have already been completed. He further said that load-shedding would come to an end in Pakistan after the completion of energy projects.
Moreover, chairing a meeting, to review health sector reforms and bring improvement in the provision of healthcare facilities, Shehbaz directed that the pace of reforms should be moved further speedily in Punjab Quality Control Board and DG Health Services. "DG Health Services will have to be transformed according to latest needs and requirements to make it the best organization while best, capable and professional human recourse should be inducted and AIDS & Hepatitis Control Programmes be accelerated in an effective manner," he added.
Shehbaz vowed to make the province of Punjab 100-percent free from the menace of spurious and substandard medicines. He added that mobile health units have been providing quality healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps in remote hinterlands. Therefore, a plan has been devised to acquire 100 more mobile health units.
