The first-ever Abbottabad-Hanoi jeep rally and water sports attracted a large number of people and tourists on Sunday. The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and the Frontier 4x4 Club had jointly organised the event to provide an opportunity of entertainment to the local people and lure tourists to the scenic spots of the province.
TCKP General Manager (Admin & Properties) Sajjad Hameed and noted racer Sahibzada Sultan inaugurated the rally. President of Frontier 4x4 Club Babar Khan, Director Culture Ajmal Khan and other officials including EDO Dr Faisal Khanzada, former District Bar president Qazi Zaheer and Irshadul Haq were also present.
District Administration, Rescue 1122, police and other departments also co-operated and facilitated to make the rally a success. A total of 137 jeeps and 28 bikes participated in the rally. Noted jeep clubs including Frontier 4x4 Club, Islamabad Jeep Club, Punjab Motor Sports and Racing Club, Abbottabad Jeep Club and others participated in the rally.
