The silver jubilee edition of the 25th All Pakistan Special Sports Festival concluded here in Abbottabad with Sargodha got first position in the wheel chair cricket by handing over an upsetting defeat to last time winner Abbottabad in the round matches on Monday.
Special Adviser to the Chief Minister KP Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani was the chief guest on the occasion. Organizing Secretary Syed Saqlain Shah, former Director Operation Tariq Mehmood, officials, players and large number of spectators were also present. In the last day event Women Wheel Chair Cricket Peshawar upset Abbottabad by winning the coveted trophy and in the Men Wheel Chair Cricket Sargodha got first position when it handed a stunning defeat to Abbottabad in the last round match. Sargodha got first position in the Men Wheel Chair Cricket, followed by Mardan and Abbottabad got third position respectively.
In the 100m under-16 lower portion disability, Mohib of Bannu won first position, and followed by Fida Rehman of Chitral and Umeer Ayaz of Peshawar, in the second race of the lower portion disability Rizwan of Dir got gold medal, followed by Ghulam Akbar of Karachi and Abdul Ghafoor of Bannu.
In the 100m upper portion disability race, Ali Amin of Lahore got first position, followed by Asghar Ali Islamabad and Ali Raza of Rawalpindi, the second race of the upper portion disability, Muhammad Abbas of KP got first position, followed by Muhammad Ibrahim of Lahore and Arsalan of Sargodha, in the 50m race Sabir got gold medal, followed by Mustafa and Salman, in the 100m race of the wheel chair category, Sher Khan of Mardan got gold medal, followed by Iltafur Rehman and Rabi Ullah. At the end, the chief guest gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winners and other position holders. He also lauded the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for holding the games for the special players.
