Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while taking notice of unscheduled load-shedding has directed the Pesco authorities to ensure minimum power outages in the province. He said Pesco authorities should make their administration more transparent and responsible to improve their performance. He said less load-shedding would be observed during Ramadan.
The Governor expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting with Chief Executive Officer Pesco and their concerned officials. The meeting was briefed by Pesco Chief Shabir Ahmed Gillani. He said power theft and line losses were two major issues but those people who were paying their electricity bills regularly should not be punished for prolonged load-shedding. The Governor directed the officials concerned to take strict action against black sheep and corrupt people in the administration. Moreover, he said that people would not suffer during the holy month of Ramadan.
