Shifa International observes World No Tobacco Day

More than seven million deaths from tobacco use every year, a figure that is predicted to grow to more than eight million a year by 2030 without intensified action, says a press release issued here on Wednesday. Tobacco use is a threat to any person, regardless of gender, age, race, cultural and educational background. It brings suffering, disease, and death, impoverishing families and national economies, said Consultant Pulmonologist SIH Dr Sohail Naseem. Shifa international hospital Islamabad organised an awareness campaign among patients and general public to mark world No Tobacco day.
