Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has summoned the Punjab Assembly session in the assembly chambers on Friday (today). Provincial Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha will present the annual budget for the financial year 2017-2018. She will also present supplementary budget statement for the financial year 2016-2017 in the assembly. Moreover, the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet has also been called on Friday.
The Cabinet meeting, which would be chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, will accord approval to the budget estimates for the year 2017-18. Finance Bill 2017, revised estimates for the fiscal year 2016-17 and supplementary budget 2016-17 will also be approved in the Cabinet meeting.
