Five Indian soldiers were killed and many were wounded on Saturday when Pakistani troops responded to unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian forces, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. In a tweet message, ISPR Director General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan forces gave a befitting response to the Indian aggression, killing their five soldiers and leaving many others injured. Pakistan Army soldiers destroyed the Indian bunkers spreading aggression in the region. Many Indian soldiers were injured in the act.
Earlier, Indian forces carried out unprovoked firing at Thatta Pani Sector of the working boundary. Pakistan Army retaliated to the Indian aggression which silenced their guns and destroyed the bunkers. A significant loss was suffered due to the unfortunate incident. ISPR sources said several soldiers on both sides of the boundary were injured. This is another ceasefire violation by the neighboring state India. Earlier, the United Nations had expressed its concern over escalating tensions along the LoC with UN Secretary General Antonio Guetteres' spokesperson saying, "the secretary general is monitoring the situation."
