Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar has expressed concern over increasing street crimes during the holy month of Ramazan in the metropolitan city. He urged the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to take notice of the rising street crimes and order enhanced security arrangements at markets and shopping centres. "Dozens of citizens are being robbed on daily basis. Criminals are moving freely without any fear of arrest," he said and urged the Inspector General (IG) Police to intensify police patrolling around the commercial markets and at public places and ensure people are protected.
