Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh on Monday urged young women especially students of colleges and universities' to participate in different driving courses being offered by TEVTA.
Chairman said TEVTA is offering a driving course for everyone above the age of 21 which is a golden chance for housewives to learn the driving and play important role in raising the monthly earning for their families. "If students will enroll themselves in this course it would be very beneficial for them also," he said.
Irfan also said TEVTA will also start specialize car and scooter driving courses for females which would be a landmark for the women of Punjab adding it is a routine matter in our neighbouring countries that women drive scooters and motorbikes. Chairman TEVTA said that Short Driving course in collaboration with City Traffic Police will start from the month of July at three technical colleges of Lahore.
He said Rs 1000 will be given to around 6,000 students who will be enrolled in this course. Any person above the age of 21 and literate can enroll in this course. Irfan said student who successfully completed this course can easily earn Rs 60,000 to Rs 80, 000 per month in the projects of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
