On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,919. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.806 billion and the number of lots traded was 22,508. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.680 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.336 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.392 billion, copper PKR 224.680 million, silver PKR 136.623 million, platinum PKR 27.734 million, Brent crude oil PKR 5.912 million and natural gas PKR 1.921 million.
