Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday wrote a letter to Principal Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and demanded him to provide information regarding illegal usage of tax money and corruption in the energy sector. The PTI leader said in its letter that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has wasted nation's billions of rupees on failed energy projects. The letter stated that the Punjab chief minister wasted Rs 14.8 billion on Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park.
PTI leader Andleeb Abbas asked Shahbaz Sharif to tell who would return the wasted money. She stated that the Punjab CM also lied about generating 100MW electricity from the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park. "As many as Rs 100 million were wasted on the advertisement on the occasion of inauguration of the project", she added.
