Spot basis bids for corn were 1-2 cents per bushel lower at processors in Illinois and Nebraska on Friday and mostly steady elsewhere in the US Midwest following scattered farmer sales during a rally in futures, grain merchants said. Farmers sold small amounts of corn as Chicago Board of Trade corn futures gained 4-1/2 cents, or 1.3 percent, to $3.84 per bushel. But futures remained below last week's nearly one-year high and some farmers delayed sales in the hopes futures surpass those levels.
