The Met Office on Tuesday forecast light rain in coastal parts of Sindh besides hot and humid weather elsewhere in the country in the next 24 hours. It said that rain/dust-thundershower (with isolated heavy falls) with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur Divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Multan, DG Khan and Zhob Divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
"Moist currents from Arabian sea are penetrating into upper and central parts of the country. Westerly wave is affecting most upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Thursday," the Met Office said. Sibbi was hottest place in the country with 46 degrees Celsius, Dalbandin, Shaheed Benazirabad 45, each, and Dadu 44 in the last 24 hours.
