Death anniversary of prominent Pakistani film composer and songwriter Khawaja Pervez was observed on Tuesday. Born in Amritsar in 1932, he composed songs for both Urdu and Punjabi language films. His first film was Rawaj but got a big breakthrough from the song "Tum hee ho mehboob meray" in film Aina sung by Irene Perveen and Masood Rana.
His compositions were given voices by the most eminent names of Pakistani music industry including Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Noor Jehan, Tasawur Khanum, Akhalq Ahmad and Mussarat Nazir.
