License fee of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 on the business of Electronics is unacceptable as it will erode its profitability, said Rana Sikandar Azam Khan Senior Vice President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and chairman FCCI Standing Committee on electronics and electrical appliances.
Addressing the members of the Standing Committee here on Tuesday, he said he contacted the Mayor Malik Abdur Razak as soon as the FMC floated the proposal to increase different fees along with fee on the business of Electronics. "I informed him that proposed increase is irrational and is unbearable for this business," he said and suggested it should be only Rs 500 per annum. He further said he had two meetings with Major on this issues but final decision would be made after Eid. Continuing Senior Vice President said "we also want to set up an All Pakistan electronics Association at the National level. It will help us to become members of the FPCCI and raise our voice at the National level."
He also briefed about the fundamental requirements to set up this Association, adding it should have minimum membership of 150 with representation from all provinces. Regarding eligibility to become member of this Association, he said every person holding NTN and dealing in that business could become member of that association. He said persons dealing in the business of instalments could also become members of that Association.
Rana Sikandar Azam Khan also expressed concern over the Law and Order situation in the city in the wake of Eid and demanded immediate measures to control the situation.
