Imran Abbas denies being approached for Bollywood film
There have been rumours about Pakistani actor Imran Abbas being approached by an Indian filmmaker for a Bollywood film, however, the actor has denied it, saying there is no truth to the ongoing speculations.
Gulf News recently reported that Mumbai-based filmmaker Abhinav Shiv Tiwari has reached out to Imran for the lead role in his next. Abhinav is best known for ‘X: Past Is Present’ (2015), a film directed by 11 directors.
A local tabloid Oye Yeah reached out to Imran and he had something else to say. “I have absolutely no idea where the rumor came in from. I haven’t been approached for any such film as yet and nor have I signed upon any,” he said.
The actor, who debuted in Bollywood with horror movie Creature 3D with Bipasha Basu, has revealed in an appearance on Samina Peerzada’s web talk show that he might appear in another Hindi movie that is if India lifts the ban on Pakistani artists.
He also revealed that he was offered eminent roles in Bollywood, which he later denied. Some of them include appearances in ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Guzaarish’.
However, it is confirmed that Imran will feature in a Hollywood film ‘The Trojan Horse’ where he will be playing a spy of Syrian-Moroccan descent.
