JI Punjab slams RD on import of food items

Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab has resented imposition of regulatory duty on food and other items and demanded of the Federal Board of Revenue to withdraw its notification immediately. Ameer JI Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmad said that all governments try to provide food and other necessities of life items to its citizens at minimum and subsidized rates but PML-N government has imposed RD on eatables like cheese, butter , yogurt ,olive oil, mutton, tooth paste etc just a few days before Eidul Fitr which is bound to escalate prices of all goods.,
Meanwhile JI Punjab has decided to hold "national Election convention on 2nd of next month at Al-Hamra Hall Lahore to make preparations for contesting the election on provincial and national assembly seats. All candidates of provincial and national assembly seats and office bearers of district organizations will participate in the convention.
