The Political Administration (PA) of Mohmand Agency on Friday releases 11 prisoners, mostly detained for petty issues, to facilitate them to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr with family members. The prisoners were released on the directives issued by the political agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir while presiding over a meeting held in the agency headquarters Ghalanai, in Mohmand Agency.
The meeting was also attended by all the assistant political agents and others officials. It was decided in the meeting that those all the detainees will be free that was arrested in petty issues for the respect of Eid.
On that directives APA Ekkaghund Naveed Akbar Khan visited Ekkaghund lock up and released 11 persons on the eve of Eid. Security has been beefed up across the entire Mohmand tribal region with deployment of extra FC, Levies and Khassadar force at various busy and sensitive sites and check posts in the agency and other areas to avert any threat on Eid ul Fitr, official sources told.
When contacted Assistant Political Agent Ekkaghund Naveed Akbar told local journalists that on the special directives of the Political Agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir the local administration with the help of Levy and Khassadar forces complete foolproof security to maintain peace and order across the tribal region, additional security staff including FC force headed by Sobedar have been deputed at all busy places including bazaars and various check posts in order to maintain law and order situation and to deal with any eventuality.
The Political Agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir said the Levy force has been put on alert to ensure security arrangements at busy shopping centers and bazaars and places of worships preferably during Taraveeh prayers in mosques so that the faithful could celebrate Eid without any fear. Mahmood Aslam said that round-the-clock patrolling has also been intensified for maintaining security across the agency as well as tehsil headquarters besides small and major towns and villages across the area. The security personnel in plain clothes will also keep a vigilant eye on unscrupulous and suspicious elements, he added. It will be mentioned here that checking on various check posts has been tightened in the all the exit and entry points.
