Pervez Khattak appreciates opposition role in smooth running of NA

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak on Thursday thanked the Opposition parties for their support in smooth running of the National Assembly.

Speaking at the National Assembly, the minister said that it was the responsibility of the Speaker to run the National Assembly according to rules.

He assured that all suggestions of the Opposition benches will be implemented and suggested that there should be a committee to run the affairs of the Parliament in positive manner.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said he will run the National Assembly according to rules and supported the idea of having ethics committee with the participation of government and Opposition benches to make the atmosphere of the Parliament pleasant and running the House in accordance with the rules.

MNA Rana Tanveer hailed the efforts of the government side to take suggestions of the Opposition parties.
