Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has expressed displeasure over attitude of those political elements practicing politics over dead bodies of oil tanker tragedy.
Talking to media, here at Child Protection Bureau on Eid day on Monday, Saad said that Quetta, Parachinar and Bahawalpur incidents have turned the happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr gloomy. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif felt pain of the nation, returned to Pakistan by cutting short all his engagements in London and reached Bahawalpur to share his sympathies with the bereaved families of oil tanker incident.
Responding to a query, Saad said that five burn units were working in Lahore while the Pakistan People's Party did not establish even a single burn unit in Sindh where it had been ruling for the last 10 years.
He further said that soon after the oil tanker incident, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz issued directions to Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq and DG Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer to reach the site and supervise the rescue operation. Responding to a question, Saad advised PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto to establish welfare institutions instead of delivering hollow speeches and leveling baseless allegations.
He was of the view that PTI chairman Imran Khan was unable to understand his political statements as he (Imran) directly joined politics after leaving cricket. To another question, he said that Child Protection Bureau was made a strong intuition by Shehbaz Sharif for the welfare of the society. He said service to needy and have-nots are hallmark of politics of the PML-N.
