FC Balochistan on Friday foiled an attempt to blow up Jaffer Express going to Rawalpindi from Quetta in Mach. As per details, on presence of a suspicious bag on the track, FC was intimated about. The FC Balochistan while responding to the information rushed to the spot and recovered a bomb planted on railway track near Mach Railway Station.
Soon after the recovery of the IED, the FC called in bomb disposal squad which defused the bomb. Jaffer Express was to pass through after some time as it seemed the bomb was planted to blow up the train. However, timely action by FC prevented the incident. Other trains coming to Quetta were stopped at Sibbi Railway station.
